Jonathan D. Becker, J.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership of the School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. Jonathan\u2019s teaching and scholarly endeavors occur at the intersection of educational technology, policy, law and leadership. Currently, Jonathan is serving as the evaluator of a multi-million dollar, multi-year grant program funded by the U.S. Department of Education to develop simulations and to support leadership preparation and is a co-investigator of an NSF-funded grant targeted at research and development of science curriculum modules for students in underserved areas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t

Richard is responsible for Hills and Heights<\/a>\u00a0which covers the Southbank of the James from Manchester to Stratford Hills and Shockoe News<\/a>\u00a0which reports the news in Shockoe Slip & Shockoe Bottom. Richard graduated with a Liberal Arts Degree from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in the earlier 90’s and moved to Washington, DC shortly after graduation and soon found himself managing a coffee shop in Georgetown. During the glorious tech boom that brought IPO’s and jobs aplenty he worked as a project manager for a web development firm and then a startup that provided hi-speed internet access to offices. Eventually the bubble burst but not before Richard met and was engaged to his wife Page. Richard and Page moved down to Richmond in 2003 and have been busy raising their daughter Ruby. Richard is a founding member of American Outlaws Richmond and RVA DCU which are supporter groups for the US Men’s National soccer team and MLS’ pro soccer team DC United and an active volunteer at Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts, the commonwealth’s first and only charter elementary school.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t
